Oral Steroids:
	Indications for oral steroids are:
	-	Severe pleuritic chest pain.
	-	Severe infective exacerbation on admission.
	-	Failure to respond to routine intravenous antibiotics - usually halfway though treatment.
	-	Previous documented history of asthma responsive to steroids.
	-	Arthropathy and vasculitis.
	-	Allergic Broncho-Pulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA)

	All patients commencing steroids should have full BM monitoring through day. No patients should be left on long term oral steroids unless there is a specific indication e.g. Allergic Broncho-Pulmonary Aspergillosis.
